Projects

Genome Variant Interpretation Toolkit

Bioinformatics Web App

A full-stack web platform for SNP and CNV analysis supporting batch rsID queries and simulated genomic variant annotation workflows inspired by dbSNP and ClinVar datasets. Built using Python (Flask), HTML/CSS, and JSON-based genomic data models; deployed as an interactive genomics analysis tool.

BioLab Toolkit — DNA Analysis & Primer Design Tool

Molecular Web Tool

An interactive molecular biology web application for DNA sequence analysis, GC content calculation, reverse complement generation, transcription simulation, primer design with melting temperature estimation, and restriction enzyme digestion simulation.

Unified Genomic Variant Database (UGVD)

Bioinformatics

A database that integrates critical genomic information that are usually siloed across multiple public repositories, using SQLite. The databases that have been integrated include: dbSNP, for variant identity and location, ensembl, for gene mapping and descriptions, clinVar, for clinical significance and disease associations, and gnomAD, for population-specific allele frequencies

Transcriptomic Landscapes of Breast Cancer Progression: Insights from the TCGA-BRCA Cohort

Bioinformatics analysis using computational methods

This project investigates transcriptomic differences between Early-stage and Advanced-stage breast cancer using RNA-sequencing data from The Cancer Genome Atlas Breast Invasive Carcinoma (TCGA-BRCA) cohort.

The study was conducted using R and Bioconductor packages including TCGAbiolinks, DESeq2, survival, and survminer.

Landscape analysis of alzheimers disease variants

Bioinformatics

A bioinformatics project that explores clinically reported genetic variants associated with Alzheimer's disease using the ClinVar database. The project extracts variants from established Alzheimer's-associated genes, performs data preprocessing, computes custom gene prioritization metrics, and visualizes the variant landscape. Done using python libraries.

Laboratory Experience

Performed DNA isolation, agarose gel electrophoresis, ELISA, and enzyme assay experiments during academic laboratory training. Maintained structured documentation of experimental protocols, observations, and results while adhering to laboratory safety procedures. Demonstrated strong proficiency in micropipetting, reagent preparation, and equipment handling with emphasis on precision and reproducibility.
